About Us

Institutional foundation

Mandate and governance

WorldCeylon is governed by a board that oversees its programs, finances, and administrative standards. Oversight is documented, and decisions are recorded so that partners and the public can see how the organization is run.

Stewardship of resources is treated as a core duty, not a side task. Each commitment is reviewed against the organization's stated purpose.

How we work

Principles in practice

01

Select partners carefully

Potential partners are assessed against clear criteria before any collaboration begins, so each relationship has a defined purpose.

02

Steward resources openly

Funds and materials are allocated through documented approval steps, with records kept for internal and external review.

03

Consult the field

Local stakeholders and field practitioners are consulted before major decisions, so plans reflect the conditions on the ground.

04

Report what happens

Work that is undertaken is described plainly, and operational difficulties are acknowledged rather than left out of the record.

Learning as we go

Adjusting with evidence

We review how needs change over time and check whether our methods still fit them. When a approach falls short, we record the reason and decide, with partners, what to change. This review is not a one-off exercise. It runs alongside our regular governance meetings, so that lessons reach the people who make decisions.

We are still learning in several areas, including how best to measure long-term change in the communities we work with. We would rather state an open question clearly than present an answer we cannot yet support.
